Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 1.20%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which rose 4.44% or 2.35 points to trade at 55.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) added 3.05% or 0.350 points to end at 11.840 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was up 2.76% or 1.50 points to 55.85 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which fell 1.92% or 1.10 points to trade at 56.05 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 1.79% or 0.110 points to end at 6.025 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) was down 1.34% or 0.0900 points to 6.6050.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 71 to 64 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) rose to all time highs; rising 2.76% or 1.50 to 55.85.
Brent oil for August delivery was up 0.87% or 0.41 to $47.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.63% or 0.28 to hit $44.74 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 1.89 to trade at $1256.49 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.37% to 1.1187, while EUR/GBP rose 0.16% to 0.8750.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 97.19.
