Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.79%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 9.02% or 0.3400 points to trade at 4.1100 at the close. Meanwhile, Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 7.16% or 0.298 points to end at 4.460 and Metso Oyj (HE:MEO1V) was up 4.26% or 0.91 points to 22.25 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V), which fell 5.24% or 0.440 points to trade at 7.950 at the close. Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMAS) declined 2.06% or 0.80 points to end at 37.99 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V) was down 0.84% or 0.12 points to 14.19.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 121 to 57 and 12 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was up 0.62% or 0.31 to $50.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.57% or 0.28 to hit $49.41 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.45% or 5.75 to trade at $1264.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.49% to 1.1352, while EUR/GBP fell 0.20% to 0.7661.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.30% at 93.53.
