Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Telecoms and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.43% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 3.12% or 0.106 points to trade at 3.502 at the close. Meanwhile, Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 3.01% or 0.1100 points to end at 3.7600 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) was up 2.31% or 0.96 points to 42.48 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1), which fell 1.73% or 0.074 points to trade at 4.212 at the close. Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) declined 1.41% or 0.125 points to end at 8.720 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was down 1.04% or 0.34 points to 32.25.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 89 to 87 and 20 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was up 0.66% or 0.33 to $50.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 1.11% or 0.55 to hit $49.88 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.07% or 0.85 to trade at $1217.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.05% to 1.1145, while EUR/GBP rose 0.96% to 0.7682.
The US Dollar Index was unchanged 0.00% at 95.72.
