Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Goods and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.32%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 3.56% or 0.136 points to trade at 3.960 at the close. Meanwhile, Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 2.77% or 0.1360 points to end at 5.0400 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) was up 2.64% or 0.17 points to 6.42 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1), which fell 1.63% or 0.066 points to trade at 3.986 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) declined 0.88% or 0.30 points to end at 33.64 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was down 0.76% or 0.28 points to 36.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 93 to 86 and 18 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was down 2.62% or 1.23 to $45.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.80% or 1.25 to hit $43.45 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.43% or 5.70 to trade at $1317.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.32% to 1.1193, while EUR/GBP fell 0.71% to 0.8433.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.33% at 95.69.
