Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Utilities and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.26%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 5.36% or 0.1940 points to trade at 3.8120 at the close. Meanwhile, Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 2.96% or 0.098 points to end at 3.410 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) was up 2.05% or 0.64 points to 31.89 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV), which fell 1.64% or 0.69 points to trade at 41.34 at the close. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) declined 0.59% or 0.18 points to end at 30.44 and Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMAS) was down 0.32% or 0.13 points to 39.89.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 82 to 79 and 26 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was up 0.84% or 0.42 to $50.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.45% or 0.22 to hit $49.23 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.03% or 0.35 to trade at $1215.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.29% to 1.1157, while EUR/GBP fell 0.37% to 0.7734.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.06% at 95.48.
