Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Goods and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V), which rose 1.71% or 0.190 points to trade at 11.270 at the close. Meanwhile, Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 1.58% or 0.095 points to end at 6.100 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) was up 1.31% or 0.50 points to 38.59 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB), which fell 3.00% or 1.40 points to trade at 45.33 at the close. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) declined 1.07% or 0.070 points to end at 6.465 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) was down 1.05% or 0.15 points to 14.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 80 to 54 and 20 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was up 1.17% or 0.55 to $47.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.02% or 0.45 to hit $44.69 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.23% or 2.82 to trade at $1249.72 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.27% to 1.1371, while EUR/GBP fell 0.67% to 0.8790.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.40% at 95.80.
