Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which rose 3.94% or 0.51 points to trade at 13.45 at the close. Meanwhile, Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) added 2.38% or 0.92 points to end at 39.52 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) was up 2.36% or 0.1450 points to 6.2900 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which fell 6.95% or 0.306 points to trade at 4.100 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) declined 4.02% or 0.174 points to end at 4.150 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) was down 1.31% or 0.41 points to 30.90.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 107 to 69 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) fell to 3-years lows; down 4.02% or 0.174 to 4.150.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.97% or 0.49 to $49.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.07% or 0.53 to hit $49.19 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.10% or 1.25 to trade at $1270.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.46% to 1.0947, while EUR/GBP rose 0.52% to 0.9006.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.28% at 98.64.
