Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Utilities, Basic Materials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which rose 5.28% or 0.270 points to trade at 5.385 at the close. Meanwhile, Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 2.81% or 0.1700 points to end at 6.2200 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) was up 2.07% or 0.15 points to 7.41 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which fell 1.56% or 0.55 points to trade at 34.73 at the close. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) declined 1.13% or 0.44 points to end at 38.33 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was down 1.11% or 0.044 points to 3.936.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 102 to 69 and 19 ended unchanged.
Shares in Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) fell to 3-years lows; falling 1.11% or 0.044 to 3.936.
Brent oil for January delivery was down 1.34% or 0.63 to $46.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.76% or 0.80 to hit $44.54 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.37% or 4.85 to trade at $1303.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.06% to 1.1105, while EUR/GBP fell 1.16% to 0.8917.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.20% at 97.20.
