Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Consumer Services and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.81% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Genmab (CO:GEN), which rose 3.74% or 51.0 points to trade at 1413.0 at the close. Meanwhile, TDC A/S (CO:TDC) added 3.18% or 1.22 points to end at 39.53 and DSV (CO:DSV) was up 2.75% or 10.8 points to 403.1 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nets A/S (CO:NETS), which fell 0.23% or 0.30 points to trade at 132.80 at the close. Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) declined 0.17% or 1.0 points to end at 588.5 and Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) was down 0.04% or 0.1 points to 248.7.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 71 to 46 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in DSV (CO:DSV) rose to all time highs; up 2.75% or 10.8 to 403.1.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 2.50% or 1.24 to $48.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 2.53% or 1.32 to hit $50.92 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.43% or 5.44 to trade at $1267.54 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.39% to 6.6249, while EUR/DKK fell 0.00% to 7.4390.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 96.97.
