Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Chemicals and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.43% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novozymes A/S B (CO:NZYMb), which rose 2.27% or 5.4 points to trade at 242.8 at the close. Meanwhile, Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) added 2.15% or 9.1 points to end at 432.5 and DSV (CO:DSV) was up 1.80% or 5.5 points to 311.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TDC A/S (CO:TDC), which fell 1.61% or 0.58 points to trade at 35.42 at the close. Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) declined 1.15% or 2.5 points to end at 214.4 and FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) was down 0.84% or 2.5 points to 294.3.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 88 to 32 and 19 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.45% or 0.74 to $51.64 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.78% or 0.96 to hit $54.98 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.85% or 9.55 to trade at $1139.35 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.40% to 7.1091, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4340.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.41% at 102.73.
