Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Services and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.42%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK), which rose 3.12% or 9.3 points to trade at 307.8 at the close. Meanwhile, Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA) added 1.64% or 1.00 points to end at 62.15 and Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) was up 1.51% or 2.8 points to 188.8 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Genmab (CO:GEN), which fell 2.60% or 30.0 points to trade at 1126.0 at the close. Carlsberg A/S B (CO:CARLb) declined 0.87% or 5.5 points to end at 625.0 and Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH) was down 0.84% or 3.4 points to 403.6.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 81 to 64 and 12 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.97% or 1.43 to $46.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.86% or 0.93 to hit $49.03 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.13% or 15.15 to trade at $1330.95 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.40% to 6.6102, while EUR/DKK rose 0.00% to 7.4435.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.26% at 94.75.
