Investing.com - Catalent Inc (NYSE:CTLT)shares were climbing in after hours trade on Monday after the company released its fourth quarter and full-year results, which surpassed analysts' expectations.
Catalent, a provider of delivery technologies and development solutions for drugs, biologics, and consumer and animal health products, earned $0.65 per share (adjusted) in its fourth quarter on revenue of $616.90 million. The EPS result was $0.08 more than analysts expected, while revenue beat the consensus forecast by $67.37 million.
Full-year revenue was $2.075 billion up 12% as-reported, or 15% in constant currency from the prior-year period. Fiscal year net earnings were $0.87 per diluted share, compared to net earnings of $0.89 per diluted share in 2016.
For the fiscal year 2018, the company expects revenue in the range of $2.16 billion to $2.24 billion and adjusted net income in the range of $192 million to $212 million.
Catalent's shares were up 13% in after hours trade.
