  • China is looking to put blocks on hit videogame franchise Grand Theft Auto, from Take-Two Interactive (TTWO -1.4%), due to violence and antisocial content, Bloomberg reports.
  • Take-Two hasn't sought government approval to sell those games in country, but they're readily available as downloads, and Take-Two is approved to sell its NBA 2K title in China.
  • The country's official Xinhua news agency last week published an opinion piece lamenting the addictive violence in "death games" like GTA, Bloomberg notes.
