Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Healthcare and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 declined 0.34%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Engie SA (PA:ENGIE), which rose 1.07% or 0.14 points to trade at 12.77 at the close. Meanwhile, Aperam SA (AS:APAM) added 0.13% or 0.05 points to end at 39.68 and KBC (BR:KBC) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to 64.080 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telenet Group (BR:TNET), which fell 8.74% or 4.12 points to trade at 43.00 at the close. Argen-X (BR:ARGX) declined 1.67% or 1.10 points to end at 64.90 and bpost NV (BR:BPOST) was down 1.64% or 0.23 points to 13.80.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 66 to 42 and 21 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.43% or 17.00 to $1208.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.09% or 0.07 to hit $75.23 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.05% or 0.04 to trade at $85.02 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.17% to 1.1558, while EUR/GBP rose 0.24% to 0.8899.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 95.04.
