Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Industrials, Technology and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 lost 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Engie SA (PA:ENGIE), which rose 0.61% or 0.08 points to trade at 13.16 at the close. Meanwhile, Proximus NV (BR:PROX) added 0.44% or 0.09 points to end at 20.69 and Umicore SA (BR:UMI) was up 0.10% or 0.05 points to 48.57 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were bpost NV (BR:BPOST), which fell 4.67% or 0.65 points to trade at 13.27 at the close. Argen-X (BR:ARGX) declined 2.25% or 1.80 points to end at 78.10 and ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) was down 2.24% or 0.272 points to 11.852.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 83 to 32 and 17 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.39% or 16.90 to $1202.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 2.53% or 1.71 to hit $65.92 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 2.18% or 1.59 to trade at $71.22 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.15% to 1.1394, while EUR/GBP fell 0.03% to 0.8934.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 96.25.
