Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Utilities and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 gained 0.91%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were KBC (BR:KBC), which rose 2.12% or 1.320 points to trade at 63.700 at the close. Meanwhile, Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG) added 2.03% or 1.680 points to end at 84.340 and Proximus NV (BR:PROX) was up 1.99% or 0.40 points to 20.55 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Argen-X (BR:ARGX), which fell 3.47% or 2.70 points to trade at 75.00 at the close. Ontex Group (BR:ONTEX) declined 1.21% or 0.23 points to end at 18.77 and Anheuser Busch Inbev SA NV (BR:ABI) was down 0.18% or 0.14 points to 77.39.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 63 to 49 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Anheuser Busch Inbev SA NV (BR:ABI) fell to 3-years lows; down 0.18% or 0.14 to 77.39.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.11% or 1.30 to $1201.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.34% or 0.23 to hit $67.52 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.33% or 0.25 to trade at $77.08 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.43% to 1.1603, while EUR/GBP fell 0.38% to 0.8910.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.33% at 95.07.
