MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia is interested in coming to an agreement that is in the interests of both sides at talks with Ukraine, Russian negotiator Vladimir Medinsky said on Monday, as officials prepare to meet near the border.

Medinsky said talks were expected to begin at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT). Russia's political and economic isolation deepened on Monday as its forces met stiff resistance in Ukraine's capital and other cities in the biggest assault on a European state since World War Two.

what kind of agreement do you come to? russia wants control of ukraine, ukraine wants to be free from russia.  how do you come to an agreement on that? also, if regarding joining NATO, let's put this into personal terms. Say you wanted to join some club, as your neighbor, can i barge into your house and stop you? why do we talk in terms that we wouldn't want to apply personally?  and how does the guy across town have anything to do with your neighbor storming into your house? with regards to this, whether the US broke promises to putin (this isn't even worth commenting on) or the US gains from whatever, has nothing to do with the fact that russia is storming into ukraine. fyi....keep in mind that many of the sanctions were decided upon before the US decided to support them.  let's stick to the facts everyone
Careful with agreements with communists and ter _'rorists. You can't make agreements with them. They will attempt to trick you and they will have to comply first before you do your part.
If Ukraine stopped talking about joining Nato, we wouldn't have a war and Nuclear on high alert. They did stick to the bear. Every time the talk about joining NATO, this happens. USA did let this happen
yes. Ukraine and the EU lose, for the USA is a win-win situation, that's why they pushed for that.
