Elon Musk-helmed Twitter has unveiled a new business feature, allowing investors and traders to view charts and graphs of major stocks, cryptocurrencies, and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in a tweet.

Twitter Launches a New Business Feature

In October, when Tesla’s founder Elon Musk completed the purchase of Twitter, he promised several new features would be introduced to the micro-blogging platform. On Wednesday, December 21st, Twitter launched live market data for certain search terms.

Searching for $BTC, $ETH, $Bitcoin, Ethereum, $SPY, and other stocks and ETFs symbols on Twitter will bring up a live price chart for the relevant cryptocurrency. The chart results are sourced from TradingView or Robinhood (NASDAQ:HOOD).

More Developments to Come?

With the View on Robinhood option taking Twitter users directly to the wallet provider, it suggests that a partnership could be announced between both parties. In addition to the new policies and Twitter blue tick subscriptions, more features could launch.

The integration of crypto payments on Twitter is the most anticipated feature by the crypto community. However, with Elon Musk contemplating resignation after the recent poll, there are doubts about the launch of crypto-related features.

On the Flipside

  • Despite Elon Musk’s long-standing relationship with Dogecoin (DOGE), there are currently no charts for the meme coin on Twitter.

Why You Should Care

With Twitter being one of the crypto community’s most used social media platforms, this new feature could see crypto Twitter become even more active.
