AIOZ’s Decentralized CDN Promises a New Media Economy

Rising demand for higher quality and faster media has caused the Content Delivery Network industry to be one of the largest and fastest-growing on the internet. These systems of global high-speed servers are strategically placed to physically store data closer to users and deliver content as fast as possible.

Alongside growing internet access in emerging markets, users increasingly need more bandwidth with the rise of live-streaming and 4K and 8K quality becoming new standards. CDNs are vital in meeting this need. AIOZ Network, an AI-powered, layer-1 media blockchain ( Cosmos Tendermint-based Framework with EVM Compatibility) aims to bring disruptive technology to this industry by reducing the costs of traditional CDNs.

The project’s parent company, AIOZ, was founded in 2013 by CEO Erman Tjiputra and developed custom AI technology with many notable partners such as Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) and Qualcomm (NASDAQ:QCOM). Its focus on these deep-tech solutions shifted towards blockchain in 2018 when the team proposed a highly ambitious, cost-effective blockchain-based solution for CDNs.

Using blockchain technology, the project can account for the distribution of media segments and distribute payments in a decentralized fashion. It then harnesses the power of AI to solve media infrastructure scaling issues and enhance the user experience.

By working as a decentralized CDN, AIOZ leverages thousands of individual servers closer to the user than in traditional systems. This allows users to fully leverage and is rewarded with the unused capabilities of computers and devices while offering dramatic cost savings against traditional CDNs.

The project is currently in testnet, with a Mainnet launch scheduled for Q4 2021. However, a proof of concept is already available at AIOZ.tube with approximately 20,000 unique edge node operators prepared for exponential growth. The 30-developer team, led by Hien Nguyen and Trieu Nguyen, plans to begin offering commercial CDN solutions starting with the launch of its smart contract platform and critical edge node adoptions.
