Biography Toby is a Vice President of State Street Global Advisors and a Senior Portfolio Manager within the Australian Active Equities team, where he is responsible for managing Australian equity portfolios and conducting research into the strategies. Prior to joining SSgA in 2008, Toby spent 11 years at Barclays Global Investors. During his time in the quantitative Active Equities group, he led the active UK and Global equity teams and held positions as Head of International Equities and Head of Implementation Research. Toby earned a first class BSc (Hons) degree in Physics from the University of Southampton and completed a Ph.D focusing on miniature laser devices within the Optoelectronics Research Centre at Southampton. Biography Ben is a Portfolio Manager in the Active Australian Equities team at State Street Global Advisors, Australia, Limited. He is responsible for managing a range of active Australian equity portfolios as well as risk analysis, process streamlining and improvement. Before joining SSgA in June 2007, Ben worked at ING Investment Management as a Quantitative Analyst. Prior to ING, Ben spent six years with AMP, initially in superannuation and asset consulting, and then with AMP Capital Investors, where he worked in performance analytics and quantitative roles with regard to structured products and fixed income. Ben has received a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Mathematics, from the University of New South Wales, and is a CFA charterholder.
