Investment Strategy

The investment seeks current income consistent with the preservation of capital. Under normal circumstances, the fund will invest at least 80% of its net assets (plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes) in fixed income securities. It will invest primarily in investment and non-investment grade (junk bond) U.S. corporate and government fixed income securities, including asset-backed securities, mortgage dollar rolls, mortgage-backed securities and securities issued or guaranteed by the U.S. government and its agencies and instrumentalities.
