The objective of the fund is to achieve capital growth. In seeking to achieve its investment objective the fund will aim to deliver a return, net of fees, greater than that of the FTSE 250 ex Investment Trust Index over rolling 3 year periods. The Fund invests a minimum of 60% of its Net Asset Value in a portfolio of medium sized UK companies.

Biography Richard Moore, Manager of the £1bn Santander UK Growth Unit Trust, has over 20 years’ experience of equity fund investments and held several fund manager roles over this time.Prior to joining Santander Asset Management UK, Richard was a Fund Manager at Old Mutual Asset Managers (UK) Limited for over five years where he headed up the UK Large Cap desk, managing their UK Select Equity and UK Select Large Funds. During this time, he also ran a long/short hedge fund and assisted in the asset allocation decisions for the Old Mutual Select Managed Fund.Furthermore, Richard was a specialist UK Equity Fund Manager at Singer & Friedlander Investment Management between 1997 and 2001. Here, he was responsible for managing specialist mandates, pension funds as well as a unit trust. During this time, he was a member of their Model Portfolio Asset Allocation Committee.Prior to this, Richard was Head of UK Equities at National Mutual Life Assurance Society for nine years where he ran the ‘Harvester’ UK Equity.
