Investment Strategy
The Fund invests in global credit securities using an actively managed, multi-manager approach. Diversification is achieved across a range of countries, credit rating and bond maturities with a focus on operational efficiency and sustainability. | Biography | Daniel joins Mercer as Head of Fixed interest on April 1st, after joining BT Investment Solutions in November 2015 as Portfolio Manager, and in April 2017 was appointed to Head of Interest Rates. In September 2021, Daniel was appointed to Head of Income & Private Markets following a team restructure. Daniel’s responsibilities include leadership of the Fixed Income Team along with sector strategy, portfolio construction and manager research of the Mercer interest rate (cash) strategies. Prior to joining Mercer, Daniel spent over 5 years as a senior analyst in the Perpetual multi-manager team as the lead on fixed interest and alternative credit portfolios, responsible for manager research and selection, portfolio construction and researching new opportunities across various asset classes. Daniel also spent 5 years first as a senior analyst, then as the Investment Director for FuturePlus Financial Services responsible for advising on manager selection, portfolio construction and asset allocation to the Energy Industry super fund. Daniel has also held other roles within investment management and structured finance including Senior Investment Analyst at AUSCOAL Super and Maritime Super and as an analyst in the structured finance sector with Moodys Investor Service and AMP Ltd.
