Investment Strategy

To provide a return, net of fees, higher than that provided by the MSCI Emerging Markets Europe 10/40 Index over the long term (at least five years). At least 70% of the Fund is invested in shares of companies based in Central or Eastern Europe. Up to 30% of the Fund may be invested in other assets, including shares of companies based anywhere in the world, open-ended funds (including funds managed by Jupiter and its associates), cash and near cash.

She then worked at Perpetual/Invesco Perpetual for 17 years, holding positions that included head of Asian investments and head of international equity products, before joining Lloyd George Management as head of the Global Emerging Markets Team from 2007–2010. Kathryn was most recently at Jupiter Asset Management as the fund management director of the global emerging markets funds, and she held additional responsibilities for managing equity funds in Latin America and Eastern Europe. Elena Shaftan - 2002 2014
Biography Elena Shaftan joined Jupiter in 2000. She has managed the Jupiter Emerging European Opportunities Fund since launch in September 2002, and the Jupiter New Europe SICAV since its launch in November 2007. Before joining Jupiter, Elena managed Eastern European equities at AIB Govett Asset Management for six years. Elena gained a degree in Radio Electronic Engineering from Riga Aviation University.

Biography Ingrid Kukuljan joined Jupiter in 2004 and currently works as co-manager (with Elena Shaftan) of the Jupiter Emerging European Opportunities Fund (Unit Trust) and the Jupiter New Europe SICAV, as well as managing the Emerging European portion of the Jupiter Global Managed Fund (Unit Trust). Prior to joining Jupiter, Ingrid was Director of Investor Relations at Pliva, one of Eastern Europe's largest pharmaceutical companies. She also worked at Lazard Capital Markets for six years analysing Eastern and Western European companies across number of sectors. Ingrid gained a degree in Italian and Business Studies from University College, London.
