Investment Strategy

The investment seeks to provide high total return. The fund has an absolute return orientation which means that it is not managed relative to an index. It has flexibility to allocate its assets among a broad range of fixed income securities and derivatives as well as in a single or limited number of strategies/sectors including cash, money market instruments and short-term investments. The fund may invest up to 100% of its total assets in securities that are rated below investment grade or the unrated equivalent.

As head of the emerging markets debt team, he is responsible for portfolio management and the emerging markets debt research team. Prior to his current role, Jeff was a partner at Gramercy Funds Management and a senior portfolio manager for emerging markets strategies. He was also a senior member of the Credit Investment Committee responsible for overseeing investments in all credit-related strategies. Before that role, Jeff was a portfolio manager and co-head of the emerging market debt team at JPMorgan Asset Management. He was also a member of the JP Morgan fixed income macro team responsible for broad market relative value and asset allocation of core portfolios. He has been in the industry since 1994 and started with the firm in 2019. Jeff received his BS in mathematics and economics from Duke University. He is a CFA® charterholder.

Biography Donohue is managing director of Lehman Brothers Asset Management LLC, joined this firm since 2003. Prior to that, he was the managing director and the global head of the Short Duration Investment Strategy Team in the JPMorgan, an employee since 1997. His team was responsible for the management of all global taxable money market, enhanced cash and short duration portfolios. Prior to joining JPMIM, Donohue was a vice president and senior portfolio manager at Goldman Sachs for ten years.
