Biography	Derek has over 20 years of investment industry. He spent 16 years as a Portfolio Manager at HSBC Global Asset Management, the last 11 of these years as the Head of Canadian Fixed Income. He was directly responsible for over $6 billion in AUM.Before joining HSBC, Derek worked at TAL Global Asset Management for nine years, first as an Analyst and then as Portfolio Manager. Derek has been a CFA charterholder since September 1998. Prior to this he earned an MA in Economics from Dalhousie University and a BA (Honours) in Economics from Queen’s University.
