Investment Strategy
Hillsdale’s Canadian Small Cap Equity Strategy reflects over 22 years of experience managing active Canadian small cap equity strategies and follows a disciplined investment process designed to produce high excess returns relative to the Index without taking additional market risk. To achieve its objectives, Hillsdale’s Canadian Cap Strategy employs a multi-strategy bottom up security selection process. The quantitative investment objectives for this Strategy over a market cycle are to add 8% value added relative to the S&P/TSX Small Cap Index TRI with a tracking error budget between 6-8% and similar volatility to the Index.
