Investment Strategy

The investment seeks to provide long-term growth of capital. The fund invests at least 80% of its total assets in equity securities of global energy and natural resources companies and companies in associated businesses, as well as utilities (such as gas, water, cable, electrical and telecommunications utilities). It will concentrate its investments (i.e., invest more than 25% of its assets) in energy or natural resources companies. The fund may invest without limit in companies located anywhere in the world and will generally invest in at least three countries and in companies tied economically to a number of countries. It is non-diversified.

He has been involved with investment management and research since 1997. He joined the Investment Manager in September, 2013. Prior to joining the Investment Manager, he was a Director and then Managing Director of BlackRock, Inc., and was jointly and primarily responsible for the day-to-day management of the BlackRock Energy and Resources Portfolio, with assets of over $ 800 million as of March 31, 2013. At BlackRock, Inc., Mr. Neumann was also involved in the management of other pooled investment vehicles and accounts with an aggregate value of more than $1.4 billion. Mr. Neumann became an employee of BlackRock, Inc. upon its succession in 2005 to the business of State Research & Management Company where he was a Vice President and fixed income analyst, and responsible for coverage of the electric utility, natural gas distribution and pipeline sectors. From 1999 to 2004, he was with Bank of America Securities LLC as an equity research associate focusing on the energy sector. He began his career with PaineWebber Incorporated in 1997 as an investment banking analyst. Mr. Neumann holds a BA in economics and English from Boston College (1997). He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
