Investment Strategy

The Autus BCI Global Equity Feeder Fund’s objective is to provide capital growth over the long term. The portfolio will apart from assets in liquid form, invest solely in the participatory interests of the Autus Global Equity Fund, established under the Sanlam Universal Funds plc, Ireland. The underlying portfolio invests primarily in equity securities as well as participatory interests of underlying portfolios of collective investment schemes or other similar schemes with similar objectives. To the extent that the assets in the portfolio are exposed to exchange rate risk, the manager may enter into financial transactions for the exclusive purpose of hedging such exchange rate risk subject to the conditions and limits as stipulated by the Act.

Biography	Willem completed a B.Com Actuarial degree at the University of Stellenbosch and has more than 20 years' experience in the financial industry. He worked as portfolio manager at Sanlam Investments and managed various pension funds and unit trusts. He was a founder member of Gryphon Asset Management before joining Bacon & Woodrow in England for four years as actuarial and investment consultant for European pension funds and governments. On returning to South Africa in 2004, he spearheaded Pointbreak’s property division. Willem joined 4i Asset Management in 2012 as an investment strategist and portfolio manager.
