Investment Strategy

The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. The fund invests primarily in securities of companies listed on U.S. stock exchanges. Investments consist primarily of common stocks of companies of any size market capitalization. It may also invest in preferred stocks, warrants, options, and other equity-like instruments, such as partnership interests, limited liability company interests, business trust shares and rights, REITs, and other securities that are convertible into equity securities. The fund is non-diversified.

Biography Chris Cerrone is a Partner at Akre Capital Management and has served as Portfolio Manager of the Fund since January 2020. Prior to joining Akre Capital Management in 2012, Chris served as an equity research analyst for Goldman Sachs & Co. in New York from 2010 to 2012. In that position, he covered restaurant and retail companies. He began his investment management career in 2007 as a junior equity research analyst with Century Capital Management in Boston. Chris graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in economics from Tufts University.

Biography Chuck founded Akre Capital Management in 1989 after 21 years in the securities business at NYSE member firm Johnston, Lemon & Co. At Johnston, Lemon & Co., he managed various parts of the business, including branch management, research, and asset management. Beginning in June of 1993, Chuck operated the firm under the umbrella of Friedman, Billings, Ramsey & Co. Taking the business private again in 2000, he moved the firm to the rural village of Middleburg, Virginia.

Biography Thomas D. Saberhagen joined Akre Capital Management, LLC in 2009 as a Senior Analyst and became a Partner of Akre Capital Management, LLC in January 2013. Prior to joining Akre Capital Management, LLC, Mr. Saberhagen served as Senior Analyst for Aegis Financial Corporation, which he joined in 2002. He holds an M.B.A. from Stanford University and a B.A. in Mathematics and Philosophy from Rice University.
