It uses derivatives such as futures and swaps to invest in the energy, industrial metals, precious metals, agriculture, and livestock commodities. The fund seeks to replicate the performance of the UBS Bloomberg Constant Maturity Commodity Index Excess Return, by employing synthetic replication methodology. It was formerly known as UBS ETFs Public Limited Company - CMCI Composite SF UCITS ETF. UBS (Irl) Fund Solutions plc - CMCI Composite SF UCITS ETF was formed on October 28, 2010 and is domiciled in Ireland.
