This morning, the S&P 500 index e-mini futures (ES-M3) are trading lower by 2.00 points to $1661.00 per contract. Lately, the first trading session of the week has been a bit on the soft side, so traders should not rule out of mild weakness today. It seems that traders and investors wait for Tuesday to try and ramp the stock markets higher. The major stock market indexes have rallied higher over the past eighteen trading sessions on a Tuesday.
Most of the leading European stock indexes are mixed today. The Spanish IBEX35 and Italian FTSE MIB Index are selling off today. This tells us that equities such as the iShares MSCI Italy Capped Index Fund (EWI), iShares MSCI Spain Capped Index Fund (EWP), iShares MSCI France Index Fund (EWQ), and Banco Santander S.A. (ADR) (SAN) could be volatile during today's trading session.
