General Motors Company’s (NYSE:GM) Cadillac brand’s annual vehicle sales in China crossed the 100,000 mark on Nov 25, 2016. With this, retail sales across China as of Nov 25, 2016, marked a 54% year-over-year increase. Thus, the brand emerged as the fastest growing luxury car brand in the Chinese market.
General Motors expects that its products, dealers and the Cadillac brand’s global transformation will aid the achievement of its goals. Cadillac focuses on expansion of its product portfolio and dealer network, alongside improving customer service.
General Motors continues to launch new products in order to attract more customers. This year, the automaker has introduced two mainstream luxury models, the CT6 prestige sedan and XT5 luxury crossover. These vehicles will be produced at Cadillac’s new facility in Shanghai. The automaker expects these vehicles to complement Cadillac’s other models, including XTS luxury sedan and ATS-L sport sedan.
Cadillac offers vehicles under all major luxury segments like the mid- and large-sized luxury sedans, medium-range luxury sedans, and midsize luxury SUVs. The brand will also launch the Cadillac CT6 plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) this year.
