Market Movers
Very little of wider interest in the calendar today. With markets increasingly gearing down for the holiday season liquidity could become increasingly thin in coming days.
Both US and UK release final GDP data but they should give little surprise. UK GDP should be confirmed at 0.8% q/q and US growth at 3.6% q/q annualised in Q3.
In the afternoon the euro area releases the preliminary consumer confidence index for December. It is expected to show a slight rise to -15 following last month's moderate decline to -15.4.
Norwegian job data in focus but PPI out of Sweden could also be of interest for hints on pipeline inflation given the recent disinflation worries for the Riksbank.
