Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) on Monday announced that it has added a new feature called Page Flip to enhance the Kindle navigation experience.

Page Flip, as the name suggests, is a software update that enables readers to skim and jump across different parts of a book while saving the original page at the back.

Get a Crisp View of Pages

You can zoom in to read closely from a page and zoom out to see multiple pages of a book at a time. In the zoomed-out view, the screen can accommodate nine pages arranged in a three-by-three grid. You will have no issue identifying a particular page at a glance, thanks to pixel-accurate thumbnails that adjust automatically according to size and margin changes.

Don’t Worry Upon Missing the Bookmark

The new feature automatically saves a page you are reading and brings you back to it when you tap a tiny page icon in the lower left corner. Tapping the same icon again takes you back to where you were.

Flip As You Listen

Page Flip is compatible with the audio version as well. As you flip through pages, you can still listen to the audio from the pinned page. The audio does not reset until you tap a new page.

Page Flip is available as a free OTA software update to E-readers, Fire tablets and the free Kindle app for iOS and Android.

On the new added features, Chuck Moore, Vice President, Kindle commented, “Page Flip makes it easier than ever to refer back to pictures in a political memoir, flip back and forth between a map and your current page in an epic fantasy series, or find passages you’ve highlighted in an investing guide.”

“With Page Flip, we’ve taken inspiration from how people read print books and improved upon it,” he added.

At present, Amazon has a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy). Other Zacks Rank #1 stocks worth considering are PetMed Express, Inc. (NASDAQ:PETS) , Exa Corp. (NASDAQ:EXA) and Paycom Software, Inc. (NYSE:PAYC) .
