Akcea Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:AKCA) swing trade we gave you when it broke out, waited a bit and then popped a wedge and ran up. So, it’s basically gone from around the low 20s, 22-3 range, to 40 today, 40.75. So, we’ve reached a couple swing targets, but I think it’s not done. Tuesday was a breakout day in my opinion, up 4.80, or 14%, to 38.99, with the volume at 1.1 million, the biggest in 3 months. I think it’s going to go higher. I’m looking for mid to high 40’s for starters.
Turtle Beach Corp (NASDAQ:HEAR) had a nice report on Tuesday. The stock popped and had a new high, reaching 34.50, but pre-market, 37. My target was in the high 30’s, so we pretty much got there and then pulled back. At this point, I’m going to want to see what it does going forward and whether or not it can hold the 28-9 zone. It penetrated down to 28.80 today, but it closed off the trend line, up 48 cents, or 2%, to 30.83, on 8 million shares. Let’s see if it can get a follow through. Big day volume wise. Looking pretty good still.
Renewable Energy Group Inc (NASDAQ:REGI) finally broke out of this 2 month long falling channel after holding support and a 50 day, roughly. The internal trend line spiked up today, and exploded to as high as 21.50, closed 20.40, up 2.55, or 14%, on 2.3 million shares, biggest volume in about 2 or 3 months. I think we’re heading towards channel top, maybe tomorrow in the 22 1/2 range.
Semtech Corporation (NASDAQ:SMTC) one of our old swing trades, up 1.40, or 3%, to 50.25, on 232,763 shares. Consolidating for the last couple of months, it looks like it’s ready to make another move. With key resistance at 51 1/2, if it gets through that, I’m looking at 57-8.
