Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Banking, Utilities and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite fell 1.33%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Lykos Inform. (AT:LYKr), which rose 5.74% or 0.03 points to trade at 0.52 at the close. Meanwhile, FHL I Kiriakidis Marbles and Granites SA (AT:KRKr) added 3.62% or 0.080 points to end at 2.290 and Titan Cement (AT:TTNr) was up 2.45% or 0.490 points to 20.490 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bank Of Piraeus (AT:BOPr), which fell 22.55% or 0.023 points to trade at 0.079 at the close. Alpha Bank (AT:ACBr) declined 19.61% or 0.030 points to end at 0.123 and Reds (AT:CAMr) was down 9.97% or 0.035 points to 0.316.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 64 to 35 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Reds (AT:CAMr) fell to all time lows; losing 9.97% or 0.035 to 0.316.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.02% or 0.20 to $1113.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.63% or 1.26 to hit $46.64 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 2.92% or 1.48 to trade at $49.06 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.96% to 1.0859, while EUR/GBP fell 0.73% to 0.7058.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.79% at 98.01.
