The fund aims to achieve capital growth over time. The fund invests at least 70% (and normally 75%) of its assets, in equities of small and medium sized companies that are listed, headquartered, or do most of their business in Europe. The fund may also invest in money market instruments on an ancillary basis.

From October 2010, he took over the management of FIJ European Smaller Companies Fund. Prior to joining Fidelity, he spent two years with Orbitex Investments. Jim holds a BA in Modern History from the University of Oxford, and is a Securities Institute Registered Representative.

Biography Colin Stone joined Fidelity International as a Research Analyst in 1987 and became Portfolio Manager in 1990. Prior to joining Fidelity he spent 2 years with Britoil as a Petroleum Engineer. Colin has a M.A. from Cambridge University, and M.Eng, Engineering, from Herriot-Watt University.
