An Interview with FX Instructor

Co-owner Eugene Teplitsky talks to Investing.com

What is your name and position?

My name is Eugene Teplitsky, and I am a co-owner of FX Instructor, LLC.

Can you briefly highlight for us your involvement with the foreign exchange market?
I have participated on the forex market for over 10 years now, though not in the same way as most traders reading this. My involvement has been mostly from the development side - creating web applications for traders, writing custom indicators, developing forex services for the web, and so on.

What is your professional background?
Back in 1999 an emerging forex broker needed a website. The name of the broker was Capital Market Services - CMS Forex. I started my involvement as their first webmaster and developer, and have worked with them until late 2004, when I left to persue several side projects, leading up to my co-founding of FX Instructor in 2006. I haven't looked back since.

Because I come from a Computer Science background, this has affected my approach to forex from day one. I have developed software and online tools for various firms, including several U.S and foreign fx brokerages, and have worn many hats over the years - webmaster, graphic designer, IT director, software developer, operations, and then some. Strangely, I can't imagine it working any other way.

Could you please describe the services your company offers for the Forex market?

My goal for FX Instructor is to be a one-stop-shop for all the needs of a trader - education, software, community, support.

Our primary service has, for the longest time, been the Live Trading Room - a very affordable (just $29.95 per month) membership service where traders of all levels can watch our team analyzing and trading the market for 12 hours each day, practically looking over our shoulder using online conferencing software.

Traders can hear our instructors' voice, see their charts, and ask questions while the market moves.

As far as I know, our $29.95 monthly membership cost is the lowest on the market for similar services, making it accessible to new traders just starting out, and to professionals alike.

In addition to the Live Trading Room, we offer more traditional one-on-one forex courses on diverse topics.

Who is your targeted audience?
FX Instructor's primary audience consists of all levels of forex traders - we have tools and services that fit the needs of both novice traders, and experts alike.
At the same time, we are here to help other forex instructors, software developers, and professional traders deliver their products and services to our global community.

Who are your main competitors in the Forex Education market?
Because our business is really built on a collaborative approach with other instructors, software developers, forex brokers, and other third parties, I do not believe we have any direct competitors in the traditional sense.

If taken separately, most of our products and services are provided by other companies in some way or another, but the overall package that FX Instructor brings to all market participants is unmatched.

What are the main advantages you have over your competitors?
Variety.

Traders come in all levels of experience, risk appetites, spoken languages, and individual needs - FX Instructor's goal here is to help each trader grow, by giving them appropriate tools for their situation.

We offer education in multiple languages: English, Indonesian, and Arabic. And very soon we will launch education in Chinese, Polish, and Russian languages as well.

We offer training for many skill levels: from our free Forex-101 curriculum aimed at novice traders, to premium courses targeting specific skill areas, to the Live Trading Room giving traders a chance to sharpen their skills along with us, to our wide array of third-party products and services.

What are your personal thoughts on how the financial crisis is affecting the Forex market?
The financial crisis has made the forex market a truly attractive alternative to the stock and commodity markets - many more new people are coming to forex, both as stock market refugees, and as new investors hoping to find another way to boost their income - and this trend will continue for at least as long as there is no clearly bullish stock market.

And as new traders enter the market - there is a greater need for quality forex education, tools, community, and support, than ever before.

What else do you offer?
As I mentioned above, FX Instructor is built on collaboration with other educators, software developers, forex brokers, etc. - this means we offer opportunities for third partiies to sell their products and services, and let us worry about the marketing,

What exciting things are happening at your company?
FX Instructor is actually undergoing many positive changes right now.

We are working on a totally new website with exciting new community features and interactive trader tools - not to mention a fully automated affiliate program.

We are revamping our Live Trading Room by rolling out new flavors aimed at novice, intermediate, and professional traders.

We are in the process of launching several brand new courses.

And, a big surprize too: we will soon introduce all traders and market participants to a totally new unique charting/trading platform, competing with MT4 and MT5. More information will be released soon.

Needless to say, I am really excited about the next several months - and I am sure that our members and visitors will be very happy with the improvements on the way.

Thank you for your time.
