Investing.com – Indonesia stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Miscellaneous Industry, Consumer Industry and Manufacturing sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index declined 0.42%.
The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Asuransi Ramayana Tbk (JK:ASRM), which rose 25.00% or 575 points to trade at 2875 at the close. Meanwhile, Tanah Laut Tbk (JK:INDX) added 15.67% or 21 points to end at 155 and Timah Persero Tbk (JK:TINS) was up 14.17% or 90 points to 725 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sekar Bumi Tbk (JK:SKBM), which fell 10.00% or 85 points to trade at 765 at the close. Lionmesh Prima Tbk (JK:LMSH) declined 9.68% or 60 points to end at 560 and Pudjiadi Prestige Tbk (JK:PUDP) was down 9.49% or 43 points to 410.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 171 to 115 and 103 ended unchanged.
Shares in Asuransi Ramayana Tbk (JK:ASRM) rose to all time highs; up 25.00% or 575 to 2875. Shares in Sekar Bumi Tbk (JK:SKBM) fell to 52-week lows; losing 10.00% or 85 to 765.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.55% or 0.21 to $37.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.32% or 0.13 to hit $40.71 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 0.93% or 11.80 to trade at $1275.80 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.94% to 13178.0, while AUD/IDR fell 0.58% to 9665.20.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.04% at 97.08.
