In 2023, Google laid off 12,000 employees (or 6% of their global work force.) They said they needed to conduct lay-offs given the downturn in the economy. In 2024, they report record earnings and too much cash they don't know what to do with, so they buy back their stock and give investors a dividend.

The last few decades we've seen a dramatic acceleration of corporations becoming overly loyal to a handful of investors while their hundreds of thousands of employees and billions of customers are treated the same way as any raw material. The US economy is a humanitarian disaster.

Employees should earn a living wage. In most larger cities about a third of housing stock is being bought by REITs. Driving up house prices and is not good for the community.

Crime rate correlates with standard of living. If crime rate increases so does pay inequality. Corporations decided to pay higher dividends to shareholders rather then pay their rank and file employees a living wage. That's why I startled my own corporation.

I am not a socialist but I do agree with Henry Ford that a well paid work force is also good for business. Ford paid $5 per day while most workers got paid half that.

No, you lay off your employees citing issues needing 'cost-reduction to maintain operations' then when you report earnings and have more cash than you know what to do with, then you give dividends and buy back your stock.

What happens if the Supreme Court decided that Trump is immune from prosecution? Would that mean Biden can refuse to allow Trump to be sworn in if Trump gets the most electoral votes?

Immunity for actions that are part and parcel of the job is necessary. Trying to overturn a free and fair elections and attempting a coup is an entirely different matter which is what Trump argues should have immunity as well.

The reason so many Americans oppose Trump is because of his attempted coup. You can deny it all you want but it doesn't change the fact.

Wizard how can anyone prove the voting and counting was legitimate? USA has an obscure system of vote fraud that is extremely suspicious. USA polling system should be outsourced to an outside govt to be 100 pct believable. States should learn from Indian election and voting system that has been credible and can't be tempered. Very large percentage of us voters feel deceived in sudden turn of results over night and Biden and his Godfather Obama are more sinister than ten Trumps. Trump is naive having an uncontrolled ego and out of normal behaviour at times but he is not anti democracy or anything similar. He's first common man to have guts and resources to challenge orgaanized political establishment but despite all propaganda his intent is fair and benevolent. USA is today laughed globally for it's most unwise and ridiculous policies and staged war of Ukraine, incredible upsurge in violent migrant movements thanks to Obama and Merkel. Why Biden opened USA borders and let anyone enter undocumented? Is this democracy?
