Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Real Estate, Consumer Goods and Support Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX declined 1.47%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Altice SA (AMS:ATCE), which rose 0.51% or 0.60 points to trade at 118.20 at the close. Meanwhile, TNT Express (AMS:TNTE) added 0.45% or 0.034 points to end at 7.652 and KPN Kon (AMS:KPN) was up 0.03% or 0.001 points to 3.313 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Unibail-Rodamco (AMS:UNBP), which fell 2.39% or 5.55 points to trade at 227.10 at the close. Philips Kon (AMS:PHG) declined 2.31% or 0.57 points to end at 24.36 and Aalberts Industries (AMS:AALB) was down 2.20% or 0.61 points to 27.09.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 180 to 58 and 5 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was up 10.51% to 21.87.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.91% or 0.55 to $60.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.99% or 0.65 to hit $64.47 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.06% or 0.70 to trade at $1179.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.17% to 1.1279, while EUR/GBP fell 0.01% to 0.7251.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.13% at 94.84.
