Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Public Services, Inversionist and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.38%.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI), which rose 3.46% or 800.0 points to trade at 23900.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) added 1.74% or 140.0 points to end at 8200.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) was up 1.53% or 30.0 points to 1995.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which fell 3.15% or 200.0 points to trade at 6140.0 at the close. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) declined 2.89% or 110.0 points to end at 3690.0 and Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU) was down 2.29% or 150.0 points to 6400.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 13 to 10 and 1 ended unchanged.
US coffee C for May delivery was up 0.36% or 0.50 to $140.10 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in May fell 0.77% or 21.50 to hit $2753.50 , while the April Gold contract rose 0.53% or 6.40 to trade at $1203.40 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.65% to 2561.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.93% to 802.12.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.50% at 97.56.
