The US isn't really gaining jobs btw...the participation rate is falling month over month affecting the reported unemployment number to appear as though unemployment is dropping. The US participation rate is 62.4 and has dropped about 3% in the past 5 years. The Canadian participation rate has been consistently 65 - 67 %

RS - I dare say the US is manipulating oil so the USD can devalue prior a rate increase...keep an eye on the inventory reports. The USD is not up against only CAD but all reserve currencies around the world and like I said the fed currently has it's hands tied because the rest of the world raced to devalue currencies. Watch...wait...and see

USD is going down by at least 7% across the board. I see USDCAD at around 1.22 at the very least

Also ...keep in mind that oil price factors into just about, retail etc. It's the best place to spark inflation

I wouldn't be surprised if usdcad closed at 1.34 or above by the end of the week.

Just a thought for the day....Russia and Saudi Arabia are meeting to discuss an output reduction. Russia is being crippled economically because of sanctions as well as low oil prices.
