Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Financial Services and Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC lost 1.16%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Grupo Aeroportuario Del Pacifico (MX:GAPB), which rose 1.56% or 1.770 points to trade at 115.840 at the close. Meanwhile, Banregio Grupo Financiero SAB De CV (MX:GFREGIOO) added 0.55% or 0.500 points to end at 90.990 and Alsea , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALSEA) was up 0.47% or 0.230 points to 48.860 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB), which fell 4.15% or 0.680 points to trade at 15.700 at the close. Cemex SAB de CV (MX:CMXCPO) declined 3.02% or 0.430 points to end at 13.850 and America Movil L , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:AMXL) was down 2.39% or 0.400 points to 16.320.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 99 to 35 and 29 ended unchanged.
Shares in Grupo Aeroportuario Del Pacifico (MX:GAPB) rose to all time highs; rising 1.56% or 1.770 to 115.840.
Gold for August delivery was down 0.03% or 0.30 to $1157.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $51.73 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 0.01% or 0.01 to trade at $57.20 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.35% to 15.8494, while EUR/MXN rose 0.94% to 17.5557.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.00% at 96.39.
