Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Materials, Telecoms Services and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC lost 0.00%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Grupo Simec, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:SIMECB), which rose 4.83% or 2.630 points to trade at 57.030 at the close. Meanwhile, Kimberly - Clark De Mexico A (MX:KIMBERA) added 2.46% or 1.020 points to end at 42.500 and La Comercial (MX:LCMRUBC) was up 2.34% or 0.45 points to 19.72 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Empresas ICA , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ICA), which fell 3.40% or 0.100 points to trade at 2.840 at the close. Grupo Financiero Santander Mexico (MX:SANMEXB) declined 3.22% or 1.090 points to end at 32.810 and Telesites SAB de CV (MX:SITESL) was down 2.85% or 0.340 points to 11.580.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 85 to 74 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in La Comercial (MX:LCMRUBC) rose to all time highs; rising 2.34% or 0.45 to 19.72.
Gold for June delivery was down 1.45% or 18.50 to $1258.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.89% or 0.43 to hit $47.88 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 1.48% or 0.73 to trade at $48.55 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.90% to 18.4370, while EUR/MXN rose 0.06% to 20.6865.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.68% at 95.19.
