Investing.com – Indonesia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Basic Industry, Infrastructure and Miscellaneous Industry sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index gained 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Hero Supermarket Tbk (JK:HERO), which rose 14.54% or 165 points to trade at 1300 at the close. Meanwhile, Ancora Indonesia Resources Tbk (JK:OKAS) added 14.10% or 11 points to end at 89 and Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (JK:MEDC) was up 12.07% or 140 points to 1300 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ictsi Jasa Prima Tbk (JK:KARW), which fell 9.94% or 17 points to trade at 154 at the close. Steady Safe TBK PT (JK:SAFE) declined 9.71% or 10 points to end at 93 and Lautan Luas Tbk (JK:LTLS) was down 9.68% or 60 points to 560.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 166 to 137 and 46 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ictsi Jasa Prima Tbk (JK:KARW) fell to 52-week lows; down 9.94% or 17 to 154.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.15% or 0.07 to $42.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.82% or 0.38 to hit $45.79 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.02% or 0.20 to trade at $1070.20 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.44% to 13750.0, while AUD/IDR fell 0.37% to 9855.35.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.07% at 99.90.
