Investing.com – Colombia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Inversionist and Public Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.74%.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which rose 2.15% or 0.4 points to trade at 19.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH) added 0.93% or 220.0 points to end at 23980.0 and Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) was up 0.89% or 520.0 points to 59000.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which fell 8.62% or 520.0 points to trade at 5510.0 at the close. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) declined 2.42% or 50.0 points to end at 2015.0 and Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) was down 2.32% or 150.0 points to 6320.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 21 to 5 and 1 ended unchanged.
US coffee C for May delivery was down 4.38% or 6.22 to $135.75 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in May rose 0.09% or 2.50 to hit $2788.50 , while the June Gold contract fell 0.64% or 7.70 to trade at $1202.90 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.60% to 2492.50, while BRL/COP rose 1.92% to 816.54.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.03% at 98.27.
