Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Investment, Financials and Public Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 1.40% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG), which rose 2.95% or 520.0 points to trade at 18120.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH) added 2.90% or 700.0 points to end at 24800.0 and Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) was up 2.83% or 1700.0 points to 61700.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which fell 7.31% or 570.0 points to trade at 7230.0 at the close. Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) declined 2.03% or 280.0 points to end at 13520.0 and Corp Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) was down 0.48% or 180.0 points to 37500.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 24 to 5 and 2 ended unchanged.
US coffee C for July delivery was down 3.21% or 4.55 to $137.22 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in July rose 2.18% or 62.50 to hit $2935.50 , while the June Gold contract rose 2.25% or 26.40 to trade at $1201.40 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 1.57% to 2414.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.44% to 826.71.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.16% at 96.92.
