CIC Company Profile

Crédit Industriel et Commercial provides banking and financial services to individuals, professionals, farmers, non-profit organizations, and companies in France and internationally. It operates through five segments: retail banking, corporate banking and capital markets, asset management and private banking, and private equity. The Retail Banking segment offers life and non-life insurance, real estate leasing, factoring, and real estate services, as well as equipment leasing and leasing services with the option to purchase. The Corporate Banking and Capital Markets segment provides financing services for large companies and institutional clients; value-added financing services, such as exports, projects, assets, etc.; and capital market services, such as investment in interest rates, equity and credit, and stock market intermediation. The Asset Management and Private Banking segment offers financial and wealth management and organization services. The private equity segment provides equity investment, merger and acquisition advisory, and financial and stock market engineering services. The company was formerly known as Union Européenne de CIC and changed its name to Crédit Industriel et Commercial in 1999. The company was incorporated in 1859 and is based in Paris, France. The company has additional branches across globe. As of August 31, 2023, Crédit Industriel et Commercial operates as a subsidiary of Banque Fédérative du Crédit Mutuel.
